Health and Social Care course overview.
The course is a two year GCSE double award course. There are three main areas of study including the following topics:
- The structure of the UK health service
- How to measure a person’s health
- How to keep healthy
- Factors that affect human health and development
- The stages of human growth and development
- Life events.
The GCSE consists of one exam and a piece of coursework in Year 10 and Year 11.
Students interested in going into the medical profession would find this an appropriate and good choice of GCSE.
